Again Ron we agree but where is the action America has had enough of words and promises.

The very acts of aggression America once fought against in declared wars, we are now initiating and participating in...as the aggressor in undeclared wars. Withdraw from NATO, Restore the Constitution.
     -- J Carlton, Calgary
  •
Yup, and the "leader" who did this the most is King George W, leaving the mess for others to clean-up.
     -- Anonymous, Reston, VA, US

I guess Reston has forgotten Clinton's involvement in the bombing of the Kurds in Northern Iraq...or the numerous adminstrations that supported petty dictatorships around the world before GWB was even born? convenient memory Reston? The whole system is guilty and that includes you Liberal Communists.

I know of no government on earth that, by any stretch of the imagination, could be called a representative republic where the servants define the laws of nature and of nature's God securing and protecting the individual sovereign's inalienable rights. When King George and Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin implement war on their personal say so, it is blatantly obvious the American representative republic exists no more.

And Reston forgets that JFK sent the first troops into Viet Nam, they were called "advisors" at the time.

As Canadians we all shake our heads collectively and wonder why Ron Paul isn't the Republican Nominee. Here he would have been the leader of the Conservative Party.
     -- L. Hanson, Edmonton, Canada
  •
Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate who is a TRUE upholder of the U.S. Constitution which just happens to be this nation's ONLY Supreme Rule of Law.
     -- Mary - MI

The last declared war was with Japan. Every war since has been an act of the President under the guise of a national state of emergency in perpetuity. Yep, the Bush's and Clinton's sent American troops and bombs into other nations without a declaration of war. Obama wages undeclared war and assassinations in Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya and even Iran which is being positioned for the next 'shock and awe' of the US. Conservatives must defend their hypocrisy as well as the Liberals, because without conquering other nations, life in America would come to a screeching halt -- the entire economy is dependent upon the control of foreign nations' resources. The republic needs Ron Paul.

Archer, it's sad isn't it...that the entire US economy is based on War. In fact when we realize that the US has men at arms in over 160 countries...wouldn't it also follow that the US, under the guise of UN resolutions, is waging a campaign of global imperialism? Or is it the UN under the guise of US aggression? Either way, the UN has GOT to GO!

I will have to write Ron's name in come elect day.

We have never initiated a war by the whim of one man. Nor is our economy based on war. All that kind of crap is pure Marxist propaganda. You that think that should be ashamed. The quote is true but there is an implication behind it that is not.
     -- Warren, Olathe

Conversely, when one person can avoid taking a nation to war, the republic may suffer a horrendous defeat without even trying to defend itself. ( My history's not good, but didn't FDR resist reacting to Pearl Harbor ? )
     -- Bob, Charlotte, VT
  •
Bob, I think a little closer look at history will show FDR to be complicit with Pearl Harbor's attack; and, the day which will live in infamy was acted upon swiftly.
     -- Mike, Norwalk

The industrial military complex, the current power base, oil, thrive upon war. Big business . That is not to say we do not need a strong military presence. FDR had instituted payroll tax, it was obvious a time of war was upon the world, but to continue perpetrating a policing action around the world was wrong. The nanny state begun and the building boom post war raised us to a great slave state which now falls through greed and corruption.
