Reston. For this quote you approve of dissidence, and on other quotes you approve of laws to control dissidence. "Contradictions cannot exist." Your premises are flawed.

St. John Perse gives us a lovely quote related in spirit, I think, to Learned Hand's offering: "It is good for a man to be forced from time to time, to listen in silence to opinions which positively infuriate him ; otherwise he will make a pillow of his mind." Slightly inacuurate, I fear.

I do not know Jim (very, very well) but his efforts here are heroic. In these times, we need more Jims. I think Jim could be the next Thomas Jefferson. Bravo Jim!

I meant to give Jim 5 stars--- my "stars" are worse than my Jim's "inaccurate" spelling. Sorry, but kudos to Jim and a Free Press. The world expects nothing less from US&A

When current orthodoxy thrives upon half truths, and unorthodox whole truth exposes corruption, then there is room for debate.

Never observe any sincere discussions, any debates, or dissidence. If you want to be shown the exit just try to question homosexuality,  the God,  the rich, racism, sexism, etc.. this conventional populous arrangement doesn't readily allow upsetting its convictions
