is the cause of good things to a good man,
of evil things to a bad man."

Reader comments about this quote:
A good man respects the rights of others. A bad man doesn't. Money is another tool of man to aid in his survival just as a fierarm is. They both can be used for good or evil depending on who's got the power of control. The use of each either protects the individuals' rights for good or violates them for evil. To control and destroy lives with debt money is no different than controlling and destroying lives (other than self defense) with a firearm. The first is the most insidious.

The only problem is that good men are not born with a star on their forehead and, even if they were, the bad ones would tatoo a star on theirs, so it would hard to tell one from the other. That's why men must be bound by a constitution, a good one.

'Money' is like a battery -- it is a storage of power. As a medium of exchange, it is neutral in terms of morality. HOW one uses their power determines the fruits. Power in and of itself is neither good nor bad, but certainly to be powerless is to be avoided. ;-) How much is 'enough'? Who says? Who controls the issuance of money or even debt obligations? THAT is who the ruler is...

People decide whether or not to use the instrument of money for good or evil things. Depending on how they use it will display whether or not they are good or evil.
