"Whatever the immediate gains and losses, the dangers to our safety
arising from political suppression are always greater than
the dangers to the safety resulting from political freedom.
Suppression is always foolish. Freedom is always wise."

Yes, Yes, but unfortunately you’re preaching to the choir - the Lebanese were suppressed by outside forces (Iran and Syria) which created the problem and they have paid dearly for this folly - Freedom of its people by its people would have been a wiser way. In Beirut there was a one square kilometer that the Lebanese were not allowed enter. There are countless lessons of this wise quote.

This is the line in the sand that separates those who value freedom more than the protection of collectivism.

David can you elucidate upon your answer. Interesting about all of the Five Stars, even though we have not yet heard from Jim K and Carlton and a few others. A lot of these folk have often wished that I would be silenced or at least remain silent. Hm! very interesting.

Waffler, I do not wish you to be silenced since we need some comic relief now and then. I'm not into silencing anyone, you know, it's that freedom of speech thing.

Waffler I do not wish you to be silenced either. Not only are you a useful idiot for the left, but you give more sane and reasoned people the opportunity to refute socialism and present viable alternatives to parasitic thinking. Keep on Trucking my Communist little friend! :)

A secretive government that wants to keep a dossier on you...is a government that needs to be eradicated.

Waffler, we don't want to silence you. We rely on you for your nuisance value. It gives us the opportunity to roundly refute your version of what I call "twistory."

Anyone who prefers the tranquility of servitude over the ultimate contest of freedom is a coward that is unfit for the blessings of liberty. By allowing political suppression, cowards foolishly play a game that cannot be won.
