    In perspective, monitoring is but a very myopic view of a journalist's job. A slightly larger scope of view would be to research, document, write, and present something that has a specified influence or effect and information that is previously unknown, in an honest, ethical, and unbiased way. The current 4th branch of government (journalism - industrial media complex) is nothing more than a feel good dumbing down propaganda apparatus of the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land.

    That is one thing, but not all. I would be fine with just truthful non-biased reporting. But the 'news' today does seem obviously slanted.
