If you possess the personal characteristic of human control, there is simply no need for firearms at all.

Sillik, that is a very shallow one half (1/2) accuracy of the story. One of the many other sides of the story is dealing with a belligerent characteristic with little to no human control where fire arms are needed; BUT ! ! ! The issue doesn't have anything to do with "need"  it has everything to do with "RIGHTS"

Mike Norwalk you mentally ill creature. I meet belligerent responding individuals every day. You have no right to shoot these mentally ill individuals. Sometimes my response to this juvenile behavior is not perfection and you have no right to shoot me. Mentally healthy people are not perfect.

Sillick, in a topic of individual sovereignty, inalienable rights and liberty at nature's law, you are extremely belligerent (ANTI). That is NOT ! ! ! cause to shoot you  it is a cause of free speech celebration. Your inability to address the reality of the subject matter only displays the ramblings of a mentally ill child. The quote is very accurate on its face and substantive core. Your off topic word salad displays a half / almost true cherry picking of reality. By example, the obvious belligerent individual I was speaking of was a party that was a threat to life (with a base ball bat, knife, etc.). You doing a misdirection / off topic theocratic spiel only demonstrates a socialist's attempt at empty propaganda. Socialism is the vision of social abilities to create stupid, misdirection, cherry picked half truths and out right lies.
