Cute but brainless quote. Big government works against the people (as practiced these days) while the national defense is government's first role. GOP undertands and beieves this but Dems just mouthe the words.

OK, the GOP's only commitment is to a larger, bigger, badder fascist government. So that part of the statement is fairly accurate. What exactly is the Democratic Party's (DP) stance on a strong national defense and is it Constitutional ? The Constitutional thing is obvious; = NO. Observing Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin, a DP strong national defense means bankrupting the nation in the unlawful / unjust toppling of foreign governments while militarily expanding the empire. BUT, the GOP is doing the same. The only difference is DP wants to empire build while bankrupting the country with less money actually going to the military (a fiscal impossibility and threat to national security); the GOP wants to use more money than exists (in a healthy natural law economy) to empire build (a fiscal impossibility and threat to national security). Are either really enhancing the national defense ? = NO ! ! ! So is there a real comparison here stated ?

Boy, the commenters are right. Get this one out of here. I can't find Dobbins, so clearly he's a personal friend of the website owner. Maybe it's his 8 year old son. Hey, commenters... How about we improve it? Let me start . . . "The GOP has as much commitment to small government as the Democratic Party has . . . ---to freedom.

What difference does it make who John Dobbins is? What this quote says is 99% correct. The GOP and the Dems are mostly just two sides of the same coin. Even at that, Obama has to go.

Clearly John Dobbins hasn't heard that Bin Laden is a little bit dead now.

Unfortunately the Rep party has only managed to slow the growth when in power. Mostly because every attempt receives endless hate speech from the press as a reward for doing what is necessary. Now they are going to have to nickel and dime away over a trillion a year overspending caused of the "stimulus" package while the press demonizes every suggestion made to correct it. Unfortunately they are politicians and rationalize that they will loose their job when they get singled out by the press for their actions. You can not argue that they are wrong. What needs to happen is the people have to demand action and punish lack of it. When they begin to fear the people instead of what is said about them by the press we will see movement in the right direction instead of just slower movement in the wrong direction. The american voter has for too long rewarded intentions over actions. We are to lazy to investigate instead of just accept what we are told. The poor education system is no excuse for not being informed and not learning about our constitution, its founders, and the philosophy that brought it about. If every voter did his civic duty and became an informed voter all this would be corrected very quickly. We may not survive what was done to this country by Obama, but I fear another term by him would sink us for sure. We have to add action to our complaining. Complaining on its own only lets us feel like it is not our fault when lack of action is the problem. Being good men is not enough.

Fascist? Their has never been a Republican in my knowledge that could be accused of that. The Dems are much closer to that form of government. I am sick of the absolute crap that comes out of peoples empty heads. The fascists are the ones going around trying to convince people that it is the Republicans that are. They try to transfer their guilt on to their political counterparts to make themselves appear less guilty. This is a tactic that is so obvious that I have trouble understanding how people fall for it.

Fascism, differs from other forms of socialism by its application. Mussolini also used the descriptive word corporatism in place of and, to describe fascism (they being one in the same). Fascism is an authoritarian statist political / theological orientation that is antithetic to the representative republic defined by the constitution. As a matter of history, fascists normally seek to unify their nation, based on commitment to an organic national community where its individuals are united together as one people through national identity not individual sovereignty. (For example; emigration is a State issue. The Constitution gave no authority to the Federal Government to address emigration issues.) In fascist Amerika, the Republicans lead the way in the national identity war against State emigration. As a point of recognition, fascists utilize a vanguard party to initiate and organize the nation upon fascist principles. (For example; Fascist Amerika has no private allodial freehold ownership, what is called law is a set of rules based on a united masters principles of might makes right and, keep a stranglehold on all rights - another leading stronghold of Republican despotism). Not a fascist attribute but, a good indicator that fascism exists, is an acceptance of direct action, including political violence, policing actions and war, as a means to achieve national security, rejuvenation, spirit and vitality. Socialism in general, with a fascist administration demonstrates compelled compliance, victimless crimes, license, theft with immunity (income tax, funny money, etc.) and an ability to give and take away rights. There may be but only a small hand full of Republicans that are not leading the charge to convert this once land of the free and home of the brave into a fascist utopia.

Why I went with Ron Paul. When asked about so many federal issues he answered, "That's a state issue." The Republicans locked him out of their convention.

Well, whoever this guy is, he is right on the money. Watching how the media and even the GOP party itself treated Ron Paul throughout all the primaries and debates absolutely proves that the 'two-party' system is rigged. Had the voters really got to hear Ron Paul's message, he would have been the GOP candidate, and he would have gotten a good chunk of the Democrat vote. If Ron Paul were running against Obama, he would CLEARLY win, hands-down. It is the GOP who have shown their true colors -- conservatives (so-called) expect the Democrats to defend statism yet ignore the GOP for doing the same thing. The sad truth is that the People do not have control of their government -- it is all a big show, pre-planned with scripted endings.

I don't know who this Dobbins dude is, but I do believe what currently passes for a Republican in DC is only interested in having the government do his/her bidding rather than scaling back the size and scope of it.
As for the Democrats and defense...let's see what happens if Kerry the faux warrior is actually allowed to become Sec of Defense.
