"The guarantee of equal protection cannot mean one thing when applied to one individual and something else when applied to a person of another color. If both are not accorded the same protection, then it is not equal."

not shooting the messenger; yep, absolutely. How about those seat belts that cause injury or death when the not wearing of the belt would have saved a life. It doesn't matter how rare that might be, it only takes once. No one can sue the state for unequal laws or the application thereof. That's only one example of zillions. That whole equal protection thing is pretty much a thing of the past.

Mike, I guess that some people are more equal than others. One negative question about Sotamayor and you are a "racist". But you weren't a racist if you tore Clarence Thomas apart when he was nominated to the Supreme Court. Democrat double speak is truly a thing to behold.

To see where we have been see Zeitgeist Addendum - Jim you obviously didn't read the book. Projectionism is the trait of fascism and intolerance. Lies, lies, lies, when will they stop?

Obama wasn't elected because he was black -- or should I say mulatto, is that politically incorrect? (Talk about racist -- we are rarely reminded of his white mother and white grandparents that raised him.) Nor should Sotamayor be appointed because she is a Latina woman, which is obviously the case known by all. But the GOP is just as political in their own appointments. What would be nice is to see judges appointed for their fair and just defense of the Constitution! Judges are supposed to keep the Executive and Legislative branches in check and within their proper jurisdictions -- anything less is a gradual usurpation and corruption of the Law of the Land.
