"The problem is that the way [President] Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars for the first 42 presidents -- number 43 added $4 trillion dollars by his lonesome -- so that we now have over $9 trillion dollars of debt that we are going to have to pay back. [That's] $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That's irresponsible. It's unpatriotic."

What a F-ing LIAR this arrogant prick is. Yes...Bush added to the debt, but this SOB has quad-drupled it in record time.

The second two quotes, of the e mail we all receive, explain this mans words. I will repeat what was said in congress, LIAR! obama the chamelion, obama the con artist, obama the puppet. ANYONE who reads the EXACT records, of what obama has spent, will see the lie. Those of you who voted for him, to prove you are not a racist, please vote for someone else, to prove you are not an idiot. Look who has sent jobs to China.look who has raised the debt, to stagering levels.Look who has given contracts to china, on OUR soil.obama has.

And....I will bet $$$$ he will win this election simply because he is being financed at this very moment, and there are many *sheeple* out there who believe the mainstream & Liberal media LIES...and will vote for him. ALL of Hollywood is backing him.....financially. Our country is already long gone.

Its funny how he speaks of bush running up the debt 4 Trillion dollars to 9 Trillion dollars but so far I believe the debt is at at least 14 Trillion so by my math thats 5 Trillion its gone up at least, kinda the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me. And just recently I believe I heard something about him cutting spending in half and now the new budget only adds more to the original spending bill, he needs to read his own words. This is absolutely absurd!

I think, this is one of the best quotes by the master our editor, shows plainly, the shift in his policies, to gain votes in the elections. IF he is voted in again [legally] many of us will know for sure, that many of our people are just stupid. OR, the poles are rigged, or both. And, to add to my last post [cant wait] obama has brought foreign troops [UN] upon our soil. The blue hats, the brown shirts. Look not at the uniform, or badge, but the face behind it friends, fellow americans that are left, that understand the constitution, and the way it should be, there has NEVER been a better way to govern on earth, the forefathers were great men, highly intelligent, and they ran from oppressive countries, and formed this government, and we now see, the usurper, destroying what so many have fought and died for. when you here the phrase, 'freedom is not free' this is what it means. Bought and paid for in the blood of great men, FREE men. let us not fall backwards, and we DO have the power to change things. Let us use our knowledge, our intelligence now, this is the last chance, to save the greatest country on earth, from totalitarianisim. EXCCUSSEE my spelling please. Most all here KNOW this, for those new, please learn the truth, your life depends on it

If you think Bush's and congress' $4 billion was bad think about Obama's and congress' $5+ billion in just three years.

LIAR! pretty much covers it. This half-breed is the worst thing since King George III! He needs to campaign in Dallas.

How can you tell when Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin is lying - his lips are moving. As the self ordained king of the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land, Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin has exponentially exaggerated debt, poverty, destruction of inalienable rights, unconstitutional war, and criminal activities far beyond either of the anti-freedom King Georges' greatest expectations.

Suzie, is that the Psychiatric Ward at Bellvue? And Kimo, isn't that cerebral Chemo on a vaporized brain? How much will you bet, "Suzie," $10,000? Jason, you apparently know about things "black" -- you heart (if you have one) is, isn't it?////// Now for a reality check. First, what did Bush spend the money for and why and what did Obama spend the money for and why? Fact #1: Bush spent about a TRILLION DOLLARS on a drug prescription benefit ... in the middle of a war ... a war of CHOICE...that we didn't need to fight ... that was being fought with borrowed money ... and the REPUBLICANS in Congress simultaneously passed a law FORBIDDING the government to negotiate with Big Pharma for lower prices. It won him favor with multibillion-dollar drug corporation, senior votes, and a 2nd term -- but look at where we are now. Fact #2: this is the only war in American history where taxes were NOT raised to help pay for it. Here republican ideology trumped reason...again. Fact #3: If we had NOT attacked Iraq and had concentrated our actions in Afghanistan, we may have been able to pacify the country and leave long before now, but with our military bogged down in Iraq, we could control NEITHER situation, but just bleed lives and money in both. Fact #4: The costs of the war in Iraq are continuing to mount and the price tag is being added to Obama deficit, not to mention the tens of thousands of troops who have been injured, many of whom have and will continue to undergo surgeries and extensive, expensive medical treatment for the rest of their lives...not to mention all the PTSD cases, the criminal cases, the joblessness and the like; these all go onto the Obama tab. Fact #5: Not only did Bush do the above, but after he left REPUBLICANS also ran up TRILLIONS of dollars of debt by extending TAX CUTS TO RICH individuals and corporations while gutting education and other programs for not only the poor, but the middleclass, while refusing to eliminate corporate welfare. ! Much of this is also beiong added to the Obama debt. Fact #6: Bush and Congressional Republi-CONS have done INCALCULABLE damage to America's image and economy. They CREATE crises that damage the economy and the hopes of America. The debt ceiling fiasco, the oil pipeline boondoggle, the abortion/contraception debate are but a few. Their answer to unemployment is to lay off more people -- and the corporations that they give the most money to are the corporations that have made the biggest profits and they're the ones laying off the most workers (Like Koch industries). Their answer to the debt is to ADD to the debt by giving MORE money to corporations and the wealthy. Fact # 7: What has Obama spent money for and where has the money gone -- and how has he saved money? First, he ENDED THE WAR IN IRAQ, which will save trillions more in debt, ease tensions related to America's occupation and force Iraqis to decide the fate of their country. The president has spent money DOMESTICALLY to add jobs, to provide a safety net for the middle class and to bolster industries that are critical to getting the economy moving -- a VERY LARGE part of which was given back to states to ease the burden of the middle class, but has often been used to balance state budgets. It's almost 5 AM, and sensible people need to sleep at least a little, but I'LL BE BACK to continue this. Cheers!

(not worthy of any rating): As is increasingly the case, this quote seems more intent on provoking partisan conflict than having any direct bearing on 'liberty' itself, ostensibly this website's reason for existence. Regardless, the utter truth of Obama's words about Bush, and the openly lying hypocrisy his presidency inescapably represents in light of them, will hopefully serve a positive purpose. Maybe Obama's nakedly outrageous statement will catalyze in increasing numbers of minds the idea that partisan U.S. politics is mostly a TV game show, one played for the enormous stakes of holding the attentions and emotions of well-meaning suckers. Both Parties are equally responsible, quite intentionally I think, for our in-the-toilet and rapidly declining state of domestic affairs - including our "legally" eradicated rights of personal liberty/freedom from unreasonable government intrusion. We can wail about government all we want. The Federal Government still remains the international projection, tendered largely at gunpoint nowadays, of We the People, WE, who yet remain responsible for THEM. In light of reality, attacking or strictly adhering to one Party or the other, especially placing all of our faith and hopes in one or the other, is a fool's game.

Mann has it right. The mess this country is in is strictly bipartisan. The Repubs and the Dems are equally to blame.

Susie Q: get your facts right... or do you lie on purpose? http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/pd/histdebt/histdebt_histo5.htm Bush inherited a budgetary surplus which he immediately turned into a deficit, Obama inherited the great recession which he has had to turn around before addressing the short term debt, but has already done much to correct the long term debt equation. Good to see at least one poster here knows that FactsMatter!

Oh Come On "Facts" are you seriously trying to defend the actions of the worst President (imposter) in US history with glossy little tidbits that don't actually take "facts" into account? Good luck with that...
     -- J Carlton, Calgary

FactsMatter, here we condem both Repubicrats and Democrats. Don't defend either one. One is bad and the other is worse-so they both deserve blame.

Mann, well said. How can you tell when FactsMatter and the "A" from Reston are lying - their lips are moving and/or, their fingers are typing in support of Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin. If you two (2) ladies really believe what you wrote, I have a nationally renowned solar company in California, secured bonds in Government Motors, and a safety net for the middle class I want to sell you (-; by force of course :-).

It should be remembered that Congress spends, not the president. We have a fascist oligarchy under the thumb of the central bank and its international debt cartel. The goal is of course to bankrupt the USA into complete and perpetual dependency upon the uber-wealthy that indeed aim to rulle the world -- and they are doing pretty well thanks to the last 9 presidents or so -- JFK at least made an effort to break the chains. Our elections are controlled, our choices given to us, and the government has not reduced spending EVER in my life time -- the 'reductions' they speak about are merely reduced levels of expansion of the debt. We the People have no control over the borrowing and spending of our Congress. We cannot stop them apparently -- even those politicians that have promised to do so have LIED and continue to lie. For all you folks that think your party is the good one and the other is the bad one, you have been sold a bill of goods. They are going for the jugular as Americans have begun to wake up in droves. THINK people, turn off the boob tube, and do some research -- then stand with the rest of us who are resisting tyranny. Obama is Wall Street's guy -- and the Bush's are the CIA's! And Americans are fish in a barrel...

Here's a fact that matters. Social Security, Medicare, and interest on our national debt taken together exceed the revenue coming in to the federal gov't! Think about all the departments that are not included in that group including Defense, Labor, Commerce, Energy, Education, etc. Yes, both parties are responsible for this problem, but BHO is doing his best to ignite class warfare and rioting in the streets. How will we behave when we face the cut backs the Greeks are facing? Think it can't happen here? Pray it doesn't!

Obama called President Bush irresponsible, unpatriotic. What he did not say was Pres.Bush did that in 8 years, but in the course of under 4 Obama has spent 5 Trilliion, that comment is like the pot calling the kettle black. His redistribution of wealth, tax the millionaires and billionaires more, they have to pay their fair share. Marx said it "from each according from his ability to each according to his need". If ya want that kind of a life go to Cuba or Venezuela, we do not need or want to be dependant on the Big Brother Government that Obama wants to Fundamentally Transformation this CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC into, a Socialist Monarchy with King wannabe Obama in charge. What the government giveith, the government can takeith away, America, wake up before it is to late! --L.Hurst, Leav.,Ks
