Sadly too few of us have a good grasp of the word freedom. Nor do we recognize its slow death. Truth is...if we don't defend it, it goes away.

Governments don't lie, but they aren't above stretching the truth in order to cotrol their citizens.

It has been my observation that the higher one goes in any organization the more he/she isperceived to be a liar. Thus your immediate boss may be okay but the big bosses up the line who have to deal with ever larger audiences appear to be liars when they are really just nuancing there statements. Politicians of course have the hardest row to hoe in this regard.

Absolutely right Waffler. But you all miss the point of the quote. The man is speaking of the freedom that comes from the truth of Jesus Christ. That freedom has nothing to do with governments.

That is profound. Waffler misses the point...as always

Truth needs no memory, no law, and no religion

The 'truth' is, whether we know it or not. Untruth needs believers and promoters to prop it up. The truth can be veiled, buried, attacked, and ignored, but it cannot be destroyed. "Governments don't lie," Jim? LOL! Now that's funny! The truth indeed frees those bound to belief systems. I think if Jesus were to return today, many so-called Christian faiths would come tumbling down.

A free born sovereign must first understand that which makes us free indeed, and to what degree ! Hold Fast. That which has begun in the spirit must be manifest in the flesh to be of any use in the real world. As it was in the beginning of this nation, so let Liberty take a strong stand once more in the face of such corrupt plundering, despotic and reprobate leadership currently in the WH.
