Fairly accurate. The government though, instead of representing the sovereign individual(s), is leading the wrong with new and ever expanding wrongs.

I think that the populace and government are not at all comparable in their traits or pursuits....save for their shared trait of irresponsibility.

It does seem as though we find the worst of us and send them to the Congress.
     -- Jim k, Austin

There are exceptions to my above comment, such as the recent vote in Massachusetts.

I think the American people are mostly derelects.
     -- Waffler, Smith
  •
Waffler, that has to be a hard stance to justify when the majority of derelicts are always right. Are your neighbors or local school boards like most Americans?
     -- Mike, Norwalk

Yes! we must personally take responsibility for the state of our government. Individuals are NOT acting like individuals, and are being led about by the ear by media thus allowing our administrations to steal our individual liberty and soon our sovereignty. We, as the people, have become sheep and not the self-responsible, self-reliable, and self-sufficient persons who built this country. We have allowed our government to become oppressive. We have the duty to change this so we can leave a legacy of liberty to our children.

We are derelict as a body politic sense we are in 10 trillion dollars of debt. We as a people are derelect. The only solution to derelection is force. Mike we are also derelect with our borders, our law enforcement, and our environment.
     -- Waffler, Smith

True enough. Liberty means responsibility, and when we think we exercise our responsibility by simply voting who will decide who will tax who for our livelihood, we get the kind of oppression we have today. Taxes do not solve our problems -- they are the problem! It does not surprise me that Waffler thinks "the American people are mostly derelects" -- does he include himself? This is typical herd mentality and a complete dereliction of one's responsibility and accountability for the condition and quality of one's life. It is also the excuse for totalitarian governing principles like we see today being promoted by the crooks in D.C.

Archer gives the quote a five. The quote says that what is wrong with the country is due to what is wrong with us. He says that he agrees in his first sentence by saying True Enough! but then disagrees with my derelect remaks. Either he thinks that everything is great thus most people are great or at everything is not so great then many people are not so great etcetera. Whoever really knows what Archer thnks or writes!
