A good government implies certain things; one, fidelity in representing individual sovereign's rights by the laws of nature and of nature's God (not government objects). Objects of the government are almost always contrary to natural law, fidelity and the rights of individual sovereigns. And 2, good is knowing that the smallest body politic of representatives is that which can best maintain inalienable rights and justice. The occupying statist theocracy now infesting this land neither raises to the level of good nor attempts to represent individual sovereign's rights.  -- Mike, Norwalk

New England " Wigs" Siding with the minority of wealthy elite. favoring centralized government. I do think, Andrew Jackson, who apposed appointment of justices, as to election to the court. Joseph Story's statement, is, very misleading. Faithfulness to objects best attained. Property rights, were core issues.
