"The Big Lie of the late 20th century was that Nazism was Rightist. It was in fact typical of the Leftism of its day. It was only to the Right of Stalin's Communism. The very word 'Nazi' is a German abbreviation for 'National Socialist' (Nationalsozialist) and the full name of Hitler's political party (translated) was 'The National Socialist German Workers' Party' (In German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei)."

Socialism is a theocratic set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs (exemplified by welfare, Obamacare, health regulations like no alcohol or marijuana, driving at posted arbitrary speeds, licensing individual rights, enforcing mandatory tithes and offerings, etc.) Socialism occupies the cause, nature, and purpose of a social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. Socialisms canons (rules, statutes, etc.) are set and established as though a statist set of elites (an individual or a selected concert thereof) are gods with the right to enforce their written or otherwise will. Socialism is based on legal positivism, being antithetical to the de jure USA founders absolute version of natural law. Communism is the left end of the socialist stick that owns and controls the means of production and distribution in is own name. Fascism is the right end of the socialist stick that implements corporations for organizational enhancement and better administrative accounting. All corporations are legal bifurcations. The socialist state defines what the corporation is, can do and maintains equitable ownership of all titled property. Individuals are offered a limited day to day operational role with certain profiteering opportunities. In the United Socialists of America (USA) there is no alodial ownership, even a home garden is considered part of interstate commerce.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end. (AKA Socialism)

My experience with the Progressive / Liberal movement is that they love to identify Nazism with "right wing" thinking. When in fact, as the quote points out, Nazism is a "left wing" line of thinking. They'll have to dig a little deeper in their bag of names to call people... I for one will remain a centrist / Constitutionalist. :)

Only difference was that Communists owned all property. The Nazi's allowed private property but took total control of it much like our own government today.

The only real complaint that the government of the US had against fascism was Hitler's genocide of the Jews -- the rest has become standard policy since FDR.

After what I, and all others have said, here and elsewhere, I am still not quite sure why Dr. Ray calls the determinations of left and right a lie. He did not define his hard understanding of left and right to compare it to. Left and right as a perception is more subjective than objective.

Hitler was also a vegitarian and did paintings in water color. If he had made it to the 1960's does anyone think he would have been a hippy? Poor guy was obviously a product of unique economic circumstances which led to the uber inflation in 1930's Germany and the persecution of the immigrant jew as both cause and perpetuant. The placing of the Nazi party ( and therfore the association of the murderous thoughts and deeds of its creator) on a political spectrum or scale is even more incredible than my statement.

Hitler was also did not drink alcohol. He demonstrated quite well the axiom that the aggressor sets the rules.
