    Quotes from Bill are as useful as hemorrhoids.  He says what some one wants to hear then says the exact opposite to some one else.  Words to him are only a tool to get what he wants.

    Re: Robert Edwards...indeed "religion" is combative at best...and is so because all humans have been given free will. It has unfortunately "replaced" the one true God. He is truth, He is not religion and never was. But isn't it sad that you, like so many others, are content to believe in the "evils" of the church but carefully avoid the world wide good that Christianity has done for untold millions in countries all over. But then that would actually require an open and truth seeking mind. The heart is wickedly deceptive...ALL hearts. But there is a way to overcome that. Problem is because of pride man fights submission to the one True Creator.

    Judge the person, not the 'church' — in case you haven't noticed there is not ONE church, there are millions. 

    'As you sow, so shall you reap' is not a myth.  'Know the truth, and the truth shall set you free' is another fundamental.  I could write volumes on the goodness of Christian teachings and principles. 

    Evil is a corruption.  The entire point of the teachings of Jesus was to avoid that corruption and to do good.  How does one pass down to the generations anything learned?  These allegories stand the test of time, language, and culture because the truth is found in the parables of which I am sure you are familiar. How have these shaped you as a child? You are kind and caring, where have you learned your morals?

    My hunch is that being homosexual you could not accept the religious tenet that this was sinful.  Personally, I do not think homosexuality is that big a deal, and certainly Jesus never chastised anyone for it.  But you were sure to have faced the religious zealots judgement upon you.  But judge not everyone because of the actions of others — you don't put up with that, and neither should anyone else.  There is no 'church' there are only congregations, all of which are independent of each other.

    Christianity as a philosophy and moral code is as good as any, and far less bloodthirsty than others.  Christianity was a reformation, and reform is still needed and will continue.  SJWs want to reform all of us in the image of their religion — no different than the religions of old, authoritarian in nature, judgmental of others, causing violence, being hypocritical — all the 'evils' of the 'church.'

    Robert, you obviously do not understand the full or whole meaning of Religion. I've given the meaning of religion multiple times on this blog and can do so again if you so choose. The current occupying church promotes a religion based on illegitimate philosophies of men (legal positivism, legal realism, maritime jurisdictions on land, socialism, immorality, etc.) vs. "the laws of nature and of nature's God" (Declaration of Independence) which define, support and promote individual sovereignty, inalienable rights and liberty.

I've given you legal, sectarian and scientific definitions of religion but, I guess it doesn't match your personal dictionary for mentally ill children. By example, there are religions that do not include supernatural doctrines (Buddhism {teachings of Siddhartha Gautama}, Humanism, Socialism, etc.).     Mike, Norwalk, I choose not to complicate the circumstances by calling science religion, and religion science.   Mr Gautama was a very credible educator, who some who could not match this credibility, simply made a god out of him. You continually call science religion and religion science — you don't seem to understand the difference between the two. By example: socialism is a religion while, maximum wage now is a dogma of that religion and you have been incapable of using any scientific methodology to say otherwise.
