It used to be fine men were in our governmnet, and we WILL bring them back into government, or we will perish, plain and simple. The wisdom of the forefathers is supreme.

This is something Obama is unaware of. But he is not a person willing to learn, he thinks he knows everything to be known. He needs to live surrounded with people that tell him how great he is about every hour on the hour. Even though they would be lying he cannot think of himself in any other way. The day that somebody wakes him up and shows him just how much in common sense he never had or knew is a day I want to see his face.

Regan lived this statement in his own life every day. As far as great minds leaving government and going into business do we need a better example than Dick Cheney and Haliburton. Government compared to the economy as a whole employs a larger percentage of college trained people. After all government does not operate KFC and McDonalds etcetera.
     -- Waffler, Smith

There was a time when people went into Government service as part of a noble desire to serve and represent. I believe that is no longer the case. The Government of the United States Inc. is now a representative of the Globalists and cares not at all for America or it's Constitution. Save for a few...I'd love to see them all asking more questions like, "Do you want fries with that?"

This tells us plainly why we have career government workers. No one would hire them in private business.

Having worked in both and knowing many in both, I have seen no difference in the two envrionments. There are good and bad in both, and in roughly the same ratios too.

This is the rule with a few notable exceptions. I would hope the comment in reference to the best minds would also be inclusive of the best hearts. Waffler, thanks for the comments proving the quote. Glaring in your face and screaming out loud = college trained in no way equates to the best minds; and, if government had the minds that operate KFC or McConalds, the college trained, such as Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin (the party president) would not / could not even get near the playing field.

The 'A' from Reston makes a great point. Amerika, having become a socialist state (there being little recognizable difference between corporate and totalitarian state - government school and otherwise propaganda has succeeded in the dummy down), having driven out many of the best minds, there is very little difference in the two environments.

How about outsourcing the government to the people who run Wal-Mart. They have built the biggest company on earth and would certainly know more about running things than that bunch of lawyers in congress.

Ronald Reagan was the conduit for the architects of the destruction of Democracy and Capitalism and (eventually) Western Civilization. I hope there is a special place in hell for him and his ilk.

Waffler has once again clarified the issue with his succinct and insightful remarks. He claims that the government hires more college grads than the general economy does. He also makes it clear to us that the government doesn't, after all, operate McDonald's or KFC. Well I can tell you, that is a big load off my mind. Especially when I think of the fine educational system we in America have today. Let's see don't we rank somewhere around 99th on a scale where 1 is the highest? I'm really comforted with that kowledge, Waffler.

When I look at congresswoman Maxine Waters I think "Lord, help us all." She is the best example I can think of to insist on term limits. She is from a district that ensures her a life-long seat in Congress even though she is a first-class ingnoramous and an even bigger fool.

I keep thinking of the Bamster babbling on to the world about how unexceptional America is. HE is the unexceptional one. There are plenty of extraordinary people in our country, but he has not the depth within his shallow soul to appreciate them. Dr. Walter Williams said recently in the WSJ that the politicians in this country exploit the economic ignorance of the electorate. THAT is the one thing that they reallly excel at,whether by design or because their handlers engineer it..
