"Socialism is the phantastic younger brother of despotism, which it wants to inherit. Socialism wants to have the fullness of state force which before only existed in despotism. ... However, it goes further than anything in the past because it aims at the formal destruction of the individual … who … can be used to improve communities by an expedient organ of government."

The first two lines of this quote pretty well sum up socialism. You could also say that liberalism is the identical twin of socialism.

Socialists in their quest for 'social justice' are in fact demanding a police state. They support it as long as they are taking power away from the individual (i.e. making self-defense a crime and forcing all into perpetual debt) -- but after the guns are in the hands of the police only, the liberals that powered the collective theft of the opposition will find those guns pointed at them to keep them in their place. Socialism is glorified government and those that sing its praises either earn their living from government or have it given to them by taking it from others. Power corrupts which is why it should be distributed among all not centralized into the hands of a few.

He loved metaphysics and wrote about the ancient Greek Religions he adhered to. He was calling people like yourself into using them for the benefit of man.

The problem with socialism is the lack of knowledge those purporting the idea. Had dogmatism not existed it would be a fascinating experiment coupled with Bills Of Rights, Civil and Common Law.
