    It doesn't matter what the context is (which in this case was about making laws that abridge the right to carry arms) -- the remark is contrary to the office of the President, whose primary job is to specifically protect the individual rights of Americans, particularly those rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights. Yes, we MUST be fixated on protecting the rights of "ordinary" Americans. Clinton and his gang are 'elitists' (i.e. 'extra-ordinary') which means the laws don't apply to them, just 'ordinary' Americans.

This quote is sourced - go look up the rest if you want. I suppose it is safe to assume that you could agree with this quote depending on what the rest of it is.
