We then forgive and forget and reelect them many times if they are good enough to send enough pork our way. Time out for some balance here! I think Obama is great! Now I don't generally like his disagreement with the Arizona protocol on illegal immigration but his brilliance, his presence of mind, of knowing where he is and what he is doing at any given time, his communication skills, are so far and above what we have seen in late twentieth century Presidents with the exception of Bill Clinton that he qualifies for an unqualified GREAT classification. Obama a great speaker? -- he is the first president to NEVER appear without a teleprompter - even in elementary schools! He held his first press conference in 308 days yesterday -- as a candidate he talked of having a press conference every month along with 'transparency.' The only thing transparent are his real intentions. And as Sweeney says, he (and Clinton) can talk for hours without truly saying anything -- that is a politician for you. In my political value system the oratorical skill ranks high. Someone has said "as a man speaks so goes his mind" his ability to think and reason. Thus Lincoln is considered by many to have been our Greatest President, guys like Winston Churchill are also revered for this quality. Obama may be among them. Read and listen to his Philadelphia campaign speech conerning race. With out respect for the common man, there is no justice in society or politics. And is only wasted time in a starving and enslaved mans eyes. Grow what you can and trade for what you need are good old ways that feed and cloth and give shelter to the common man and wealth to the community. To say we have not the ability is a lie.
