Your children are hostages, more like prisoners. Maybe thats why so many schools look like prisons.

Yes children are special and they are the future and anyone coming in contact with them should consider it mandatory to treat them with truthfulness and all of those other values that sacredness entails. The assigned teacher should know that they are standing in place of the parent who has the responsibility but not the skills to fulfill the task. Hostages for a few hours, as we all know as we wait for the school bell, who return each day to their parents. Mike, Mann died in 1859 their is a Private School in New York named after him. In any sensitive reading of this sentence anyone should know he was speaking of the teachers responsibility to the parent and child.

What exactly was this cause? I doubt that it was education. Again, I say this is another dangerous mindset. If children are thought of as hostages, what happens to the children if their demands are not met?

There is no shortage of arrogance among so-called 'educators.' If they really had something worth learning, not only would students not need to be coerced to attend classes, they would even pay to attend. Knowledge is power -- and those with the power are not giving it up by preparing the proletariat to compete with them. That is why we are not actually taught about money, power, servitude, and truth -- no, that you will have to seek out yourself, hopefully before you are in debt, powerless, enslaved, and bound to illusion.

The cause is education. Much better to have teachers like Mann running our education system than what we have now.

Waffler, in the de jure States united it was to be a guaranteed republican form of government. That means, each and every, any and all individual persons is a sovereign absolute with inalienable right(s) and liberty at "the laws of nature and of nature's God". Under such form of master (We The People  individually and in concert) / servant (government workers, teachers, etc.) system, the master's progeny shall never be hostages of or to any servant. Waffler, because you are incapable of thinking anything outside the helot / serf / slave box can be moral, correct or the lawful way to be and do, you will never get the substance and correctness of all the here  thumbs down.

When the curriculum is Statism 101 and Serfdom 102, the children are primed to be obedient proletariats  either a good follower or good leader in the indoctrination.  It is a monopoly  the program must be followed, it is compulsory to all.  American History is not even required study any more.  This is 'socialization' not education.
