Among retrograde "progressives", prolific prevarication is the shortest route to success.

Unfortunately, too many politicians have mastered the art of lying that it has become the modus operandi of the government.  The Clinton Machine comes to mind.

On the topic with a slightly different twist, an early progressive stated it this way: “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” (Adolf Hitler) In situations such as this - guns, money with a “liberal” dose of threat, duress and mayhem exceed the state of exceptionalism. I say hmmm

Hillary is a prolific liar, not an exceptionally good liar (like Bill).  When the liar starts believing her own lies, the delusion becomes only too apparent to everyone else.  Putting on an act is one thing, believing it is another.

And repeating the lie over and over will eventually yield some converts.  i.e. man-made climate change, Trump-Russia collusion, WTC building 7, false flags of all sorts, fake news (propaganda).  The professional liars (journalists and politicians) have started to lose their monopolistic hold on 'news' and the traditional facade of equanimity and professionalism has fallen to reveal the petty and bigoted opinions now being treated as 'news.'  Good liars are becoming harder and harder to find.  ;-)
