I must be rare, Madness, is also a trait of humans aquire, trying to fly like an eagle, surrounded by turkeys. For Mr. Crocker "madmen and englishmen" In my case younsters, it is age, and agent orange, but still, I can hold my own. But, in the case of this quote, they have become madmen, because there is no clear answer, to the solution, That would make anyone mad.

Characteristically, the madness of the collective is a reflection of the madness of a malignly charismatic personification of their madness, as desperately without Virtue informed Reason as are they who react and act under the tutelage of lightless emotion.

Very accurate said extremely well ;-). That state of being which is incapable of determining between right and wrong / legal and criminal at natural law is a measure of a minority of individual persons' mental (or otherwise) affliction(s), disorder(s), or malady(s). As alluded to, and illuminated in the quote, madness is an individual infliction. By a measured assessment, the individual state of be transmutes into the collective compelled compliance of do - the derivation becomes the rule for the whole.
