Not sure how to rate this. An extremely independent, non-prejudicial, and accurate observation. An example of the quote's focus might be today's U.S. Are the oppressed patrons supporting the statist theocracy now infesting this land morally superior to Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assassin with his criminal Czars and stars? I think not. Then, there are those that would have freedom and liberty, but from the Anthropologist's perspective and view, he might be blinded to their existence or moral struggles and unable to extrapolate on such.

I agree that oppression or persecution does not mean that the opressed or persecuted are correct.

I like it. We are oppressed because of our actions -- to be 'forgiven' is not enough, we must actually change the course that got us here. To be oppressed is to be perpetually in debt to some 'master' -- how did we get into such a predicament? How to get out? These are the questions of slaves throughout the ages. If we do not learn from their mistakes, what can keep us from their fate?

A self grandiose statement without empathy. We can all play with words but the heart of the meaning is what matters.
