Government as a service provider really sucks, since they prevent competition, cannot be fired, and the clients hold no sway in the improvement of the quality. Government 'jobs' are usually just that -- jobs. Forget about the service to be provided. The goal is to employ people. And since no government jobs produce anything of value, the costs far out weigh any benefits to the clients. The only thing government can do is control the production of others -- and they are ever expanding their arbitrary jurisdiction over everyone's actions and power.
