A moral conscience should be our guideline. Back that with a system of justice and that should be all we need. Too bad we're stuck with a system of Laws though and children are taught dependence in school. America was the best in the world at this until 1913.

LOL, I'm sure that the "robber barons" thought that it was a great place then too...

What the heck happened in 1913, Prof J.? Responsible to your selves is an interesting construction, I have heard of responsible for myself and responsible to others by never responsible to "myself".
     -- Waffler, Smith

In 1913 the most corrupt system of "taxation" (read extortion) was brought in to rob the citizens of the US of their hard earned wealth and give it to a group of thieving international bankers, Mr. Waffler...Where ya been?

I always feel your total concept of freedom is simply about money? How about state taxes do they also go to international bankers. Here locally there is a lot of street and road construction, does that mean those international guys are giving it back?
     -- Waffler, Smith

Before 1913 the country was virtually free of debt. Now we are up to our eyeballs in debt. We started downhill right after 1913. Check it out.

Absolutely. Waffler never understands what others are talking about because he ignores it everytime someone spells it out for him. Yes, state and local governments are beholden to international bankers -- Britain in particular -- because in America today we do not use money for trade, we use promissory notes that are interest-bearing debt instruments, known as Federal Reserve Notes. The crazy thing is that when using 'debt' as currency, the more productive the nation, the more in debt it gets!! Every so-called 'dollar' is but a dollar owed with interest. It is in fact a crime to use real money in America -- why? Because the US is bankrupt and in receivership to the Fed. There, Waffler, now it has been said it for the umpteenth time...

Freedom is the result of being willfully responsible to and for ourselves thus being responsble to and for others who are willfully responsible to and for themselves.

Are the international bankers now giving it back?
     -- Waffler, Smith
  •
Indeed but it must be collective

There's no accountibility Waffler. Only a moron could think that's a good system.
     -- J Carlton, Calgary
  •
No Waffler, the international bankers are not giving it back! The international bankers did allow some of the debt to pave their streets.

yes, every thing has its own limits of space, time, and alike.

Besides self responsibility, I would have added self reliability and self sufficiency. But it wasn't my quote. I like it.
