"[That] the Jury may determine the law and the fact of the case, has been supported by every English judge, except Chief Justice Jeffries .... And to their credit be it spoken that the Juries have always been right on fundamental questions of liberty and popular right."

I like it. The only problem with it is when the government (or despotic powers that be) stacks the jury pool OR, allow only that body of information in to court that would lead to an unjust conviction. The occupying statist theocracy infesting this land practices both these examples as well as determines the law and, far to frequently, fact. AND, knowing that there is such a large societal percentage of helots, serfs, slaves, government dependent, and socialism's religious zealots, fundamental questions of liberty and popular right are all ways, at best, a crap shoot.
