Exactly... It is our lack of understanding and the Greedy expectation for the Nature.

I second Bipen: Exactly, with a great big ! ! ! . . . Each individual sovereign enjoys the "separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them" (Declaration of Independence) The statist theocracy now infesting this land deceives by design and is anti - nature, law, justice, rights, and the nobility of man.

The self-deception is most obvious when men of science abandon reason in favor of emotion.
     -- Justin, Elkland

What is is. Justin, I think you may have reversed your thought. It's science that is reason and religion that is emotion. Most are self-deception is brought about by ego, and a need to belong. Nature is all things; it takes on the full spectrum of all man's desires.

Justin, you made me smile, great insight - speaks volumes concerning self deception.

RBE, you are so perpetually engaged in the religion vs. science struggle that you too often miss the point. I will attempt to clarify. To simplify future discussions I define religion as the merging of metaphysics with philosophy. The purpose for and fruits of this merging are specific to various religions. Science is a process for the acquisition of knowledge through the application of the scientific method, based on logic and reason. My comment on self-deception deals with those in science who create false knowledge by applying illogical arguements to data, or discarding data that does not support their hypothesis. Science by definition is based on reason. Therefore, false knowledge based on non-scientific methods used by self-decieving scientists is not science but pseudo-science. Unfortunately, most of the public cannot discern pseudo-science from science, especially when it comes from a respected scientist or scientific institution, or when it is mixed with actual science. Pseudo-science becomes obvious, even to the public, when it is used for political gain.

Is it just me or are there only 12 people who read and respond to these? I am taking a poll...I look forward to the quotes, and your comments, but it is most always just us... I love this quote but wonder, have all the really bright folks already died....and the few that remain are not running for any office...

Science seeks after God, to see if things spoken are so. All of mans life is vanity. To will is present with us. Life is what you make it with in the number of days you have. Exsperiance is the best teacher for understanding. Not talking but doing. Natures God is a doer. He supplies the building blocks, the codes and the keys to understanding if a man will only look. Well said Justin, you should run for office.

This quote from the man who denied human nature! Man as a Noble Savage? I don't think so. Man as a savage perhaps. As for the quote, nature is not always obvious. There are subtleties in nature that take a lifetime, or many lifetimes, to ferret out.
