"[T]he policy or advantage of [immigration] taking place in a body (I mean the settling of them in a body) may be much questioned; for, by so doing, they retain the language, habits, and principles (good or bad) which they bring with them. Whereas by an intermixture with our people, they, or their descendants, get assimilated to our customs, measures, and laws: in a word, soon become one people."

    The current problems with immigration are all due to the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land and its/their unconstitutional activities. By example;

    1.) The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to address immigration (only nationalization = becoming a citizen). Immigration is left to State jurisdictions.

    2.) Socialism's economic aspects are only capable of destroying a nation's economy. Over-taxing the productive elements of a group (financing ecclesiastical seminaries / public schools, creating a massive welfare class / state, adding a mindset of social security, inflating funny money, etc.) are all exacerbated when the State (foreign to We The People's individual sovereignty, inalienable rights, liberty at the laws of nature) entices new-comers to an already over bloated unconstitutional system.

    In a nature's natural assimilation, Washington was correct.
