"Absolute freedom does not exist;
what does exist is the freedom
to choose anything you like and
then commit yourself to that decision. "

Obamunist is committed to his decision to bankrupt Amerika while maintaining deity like power, that does not constitute freedom by any definition.

    You may be free to choose but how hollow a wish for those who are the living dead. Nothing that is absolute exists but in itself. SELF is the only absolute.

    Absolute freedom does exist innately in the individual and how much he expresses in the physical world rests between the status of anarchist and slave. The only limitations on freedom are those self imposed voluntatily by the anarchist in his case in respect of others rights and in the case of the slave limitations are forced upon him just as thousands of laws are imposed on Americans today. We are all born anarchists and once self restraints become restraints imposed by others the dissent into slavery begins.

    Self is the only absolute? That sound very narcissistic. My natural rights are absolute. Justice is absolute. The only way to get either of these is the absolute freedom to choose between good and evil. Just because you have many opportunities to choose between good and evil, or that you commit to one or the other at some point does not mean you have to do so the next time. Absolute freedom is living with the consequences.

    It's an honorable creed for slaves, but not for free people. We are free, but never free from the consequences of our actions. If we confuse the words 'freedom' and 'power' well then, yes, there is no absolute freedom/power (though it hasn't stopped many from trying). We are free to stop eating, but not free from the consequences of doing so. There is an order in life -- there are some absolutes, and out of them, life as we know it is manifest. If life is good, then there is right and wrong, and from there we either live in accordance with the Natural Law or suffer the consequences. Man must be free -- he has no other choice. ;-)
