"How you can win the population for war: At first, the statesman will
invent cheap lying, that impute the guilt of the attacked nation, and
each person will be happy over this deceit, that calm the conscience.
It will study it detailed and refuse to test arguments of the other
opinion. So he will convince step for step even therefrom that the war
is just and thank God, that he, after this process of grotesque even
deceit, can sleep better."

A pretty wise man. Too bad he died before WWI. Maybe he could have helped us stay out of it and prevent WWII, the Cold War, and a host of other horrendous things.

The last sentence seems to have been jumbled just a little. Rent the movie, 1984, to get a handle on why their is war , and remember that people will surrender one freedom after another in order to defeat the "enemy".

Mark Twain could not possibly have written this. Perhaps something like it but his writing was so superior to this rambling, ungrammatical nonsense, that it is inexcusable to put his name to it.

Seems it was Waffler who asked about the camps and why I cannot product any "proof". It is harder to find the videos that were filmed but I have this which will take time to review. http://www.apfn.org/apfn/camps.htm This information has been around the internet for a few years now. No I do not live near Roswell, and do not believe in space Aliens, but it does bring tourists to our economy. But you never know Waffler, they may be mixed among us. Da Dah Da Dah

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” ~ Hermann Goering Pay attention folks, history repeats itself.
