and impoverishing their people in wars,
pretending generally, if not always,
that the good of the people was the object."

Now, doesn't that sound familiar - look how that same reasoning was use to invade Iraq. We will only attain peace when the spirit of the warrior refuses to fight for reasons of power, greed, and monopoly - when individuals become educated, compassionate, and tolerant. Wars are fueled by the fire of ignorance and hatred. Man’s second leap into this world may never have the chance to materialize unless we start again to nurture the flames of enlightenment, kindness and self understanding. Good, I got that off my chest…

This from the man who would soon start the civil war? The South was within its rights to secede from the Union if they wanted to. I see Lincoln as the first President to obviously ignore and disrespect the Constitution of the United States.

Lincoln's quote was a self fulfilling prophesy; the war between the states was impoverishing to the north and devastating to the south. Now we have one unconstitutional nation under atheism.

This reasoning has been used throughout the ages and now they have the media in their pocket it is disastrous. Robert, well said, yes, we should quote you on this - probably, one of the top comments made on LibertyTree. Well done! Is RBE your initials?

Mike you must be Joking - "a nation under atheism" :America is as far from atheism as America is from peace. It's battle cries, carrying the cross and waving the flag can been seen by all nations. Really, that was a very silly comment. If America was a nation under atheism perhaps we would have peace and not have nationalism and capitalistic war mongers making war under the banner of God. Anybody, who is anybody, knows that America is the most religious country in the western world. Look what happened to the Americas when white religious fundamentalist's converted the indigenousness population while at the same time spreading smallpox and other disease's (genocide). Your comment does not reflect the true history of America - unbelievable. Religion is the curse of America, curse of the world, it has a history written in blood - As Gandhi said "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Robert, you only forgot one thing, yes sir, ignorance, religion, hatred, and last but not least, oil. Now, we are in so deep, logic dictates a great war, coming soon to this planet. Humans just dont live long enough to get it right, by the time most reach the truth, thier life is over, and sadly, the power is handed to neophites.

Robken, atheism is more often than not a religion antithetical to peace where, the atheistic norm is calling evil good, and good evil; putting darkness for light, and light for darkness; putting bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  The "battle cries"; while, ... "waving the flag" is accurately stated ... "seen by all nations" — it is NOT! done while carrying a cross as a spectacle or rationalization. Falsely inserting a Christian symbol to an atheistic or otherwise anti moral action only exacerbates the error of your statement. From a woke / atheist / socialist's position, your here expressed understanding of capitalism is inaccurate and attempting to equate the "Prince of Peace" with war mongering is an exercise in oxymoronic ignorance. I laugh while shaking my lowered head — "anybody, who is anybody, knows" — ? ? ?  An accurate depiction of U.S. history absolutely shows those that follow the Christ's teachings were not those that accomplished such atrocities — in fact, atheists and demonic actors in sheep's clothing would accurately depict your Gandhi quote.

A nation with atheism lacks a play book, rules for living and ethos for defending. Ghandi was a revolutionary, breaking up the British salt monopoly is his claim to fame. His Hinduism is antithetical to atheism.

Did Lincoln do everything humanely possible to avoid war or did he give into fanaticism? The Kings or Europe in the middle ages had rules established by Catholicism under a quasi federation with rules of engagement. For this the wars ended when the treasury was emptied of gold, thus determining the loser under the law of Appealing to Heaven. In this way no war in those Kingdoms ever had the death toll as high as this lawyer had with dealings in the southern rebellion since when he did run out of gold, he appealed to the money changers not heaven .

Fredrick William Sillik, since you so often completely change the meaning of sound compilations - (words, concepts and lexemes - NON ! recognizable by anyone in any society outside your mental enclave) - what word would you use to describe corporeal man’s specific system of destruction, enslavement, poverty and pain - that is: any of various economic, political and religious endeavors, advocating and implementing a collective, of the masses or government’s ultimate property ownership with a consummate control over the means of goods production and distribution? That here stated system, overtly recognizable by cognitive educated individuals, vain claiming prosperity, in their best interests and peace, is always propagated with a most sincere voice.

;-), ;-), ;-) OKAY ;-), ;-), ;-) Sillik, what do you attribute your mindless, meaningless and non-sensical word salad and name calling to? Is there a reason you can't (won't) give a straight forward answer to a very logical and straight forward question? Can you elucidate more specifically on my peers and my activities and babbling? What did you not understand concerning my above question? Is it in a language you do not understand very well?  Please be specific (not general or illusive / make up baseless ad hominems), what part of my above question was "babbling"? What "WORD" would you use to describe the situational system I described above?
     -- Mike, Norwalk

Sillik, by your observations and statements, my peers are obviously "gods", far above your status or intellect.
     -- Mike, Norwalk

    Mr Mike, Norwalk,
That is the actual result of the God complex is to put yourself in the position of a the God.  In the end it is you who are God,
the giver of life and death. Your mental disorder is completely in line with my examination of God and religion in general. Like I said I'm just the average adult.  I once said God was love. It not. God is a non-exist creature like your mind, Mr Mike, Norwalk. Love is understanding.  Your not a God, Mr Mike, Norwalk, just a sick misguided child. My  mental health is formed on firm foundation of reality and it's position.  Have a good day.

Sillik, Ok, I'll bite. You may be an average adult in/on your psychiatric ward or otherwise matrix but, I don't know where else? This may shock you (no, not like the therapy you are use to) but, I agree with you, I'm not a God (but again, I'm sure you have a very unique definition for determining godhood). It was you that equated Mr. Archer to a god.

    Mike, Norwalk,
You like most children are obsessed with messing up the nature of things.  The adult is involved in the clean up of your actions.  Life Mike is change, growth, development.  The man's language refines as he refines.  Mike, you refuse to grow. You accuse me of changing the meaning of terms. What is really transpiring is I am growing and  developing with life itself.  You children have run the psychotic vehicle for millennial.  The adult needs to make it a social transportation to a better life. Your life and all it's baggage must be transformed into life supporting process.
     -- Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown

That's going to be too much for "the Socialist."  We must pity the poor soul's mental gymnastics for trying to put a square peg in a round hole.  The only way a socialist (traditional meaning) can justify the violence he condones against those who will not follow commands, is to twist his/her mind into apparent paradoxes and monolithic thinking.  It's gotta be nuts in there.

Jesus Christ, what the hell do you want from us?  Did you come here to preach the word of "The Socialist" Frederick William Sillik?  You've come here from out of nowhere to start picking fights with anyone who is stupid enough to engage. Sheesh give it a rest.  You obviously haven't read ANYTHING Mike or I have posted in this site and you are completely out of touch with anybody here.

You do appear to be deranged, I could be wrong, but your choice of words and self-adoration with condemnation of all for ideas and positions not held by those you attack.  Complete projection, all of it.
     -- E Archer, NYC

    Mike, Norwalk,
I did equate anyone with being a God. Its the religious force that leads individuals in to believing that they have godlike qualities. I believe you are the one that indicated your abilities, as your peers are superior to my modest abilities.
     -- Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown

I did NOT equate anyone with being a God.
