Attributed to Lincoln: "Prohibition goes beyond
the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control
a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes." Heck, government isn't even bound by the rules constituting its foundation, let alone by reason.'

The government makes a lot of money confiscating property of drug dealers and it keeps many legal folks employed. Drugs will be illegal for a long-long time.

If only we could control Congress's appetite -- the Constitution was supposed to do that, but obviously it's proven nearly impossible for Congress to control itself. Prohibition is big business for the police state -- keeps the money rolling in for cops, drug lords, and lawyers. You can't seize the property of a murderer but you can if you find a pot seed. What a racket.
