The statement, being accurate on its face, says volumes about the society it derives from. In Amerika today, there is no free press of any consequence that I am aware of. The entire media (in writ, electronic, etc.) propagates dogma designed by the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land. The original intent of many of the Constitution's authors was to develop a land of liberty where inalienable rights were held inviolate. The press from inception was used to advance public opinion while during the War between the States leaped to a whole new level of anti-free press.
