I wonder sometimes whether it's not the "FADING American's conviction", what with the emphasis on NOT giving offence in, or in relation to, sacrosanct topics or venues. How comfortable would you be in saying to the clergy of ANY religion, or the Girl Scouts, 'Go to hell'? We're more likely to rely on the old and wise saw; 'Discretion is the better part of valor.' Being politically correct by never giving 'offense' should be offensive to every American. Nowhere in the Constitution does it state your right to NOT be offended. PC is BS designed to increase control over people, and the government responds by legislating redundant laws such as 'hate crimes'. Is it MORE illegal to murder someone if they are a homosexual?
