Waffler, are you for real. The Constitution gives the federal government very limited powers, the rest is up to the individual states. i agree with mike! What I don't like is that schools teach that the Democrats originated from the Democratic-Republicans (Thomas Jefferson's party), and that the Republicans originated from the Federalists. Federalists believed in a loose interpretation of the constitution, power in the government by class, big government. This is sad. -- Sarah, Texas

He is absolutely right, which is why we are the only successfully free country (or were) and people get lazy and lolled into the government will do everything for us, bologna, and next thing you know we are socialists, which looks good on paper but it slowly eats away at our liberties. I agree 100%. While the Republicans claim to be the party of limited government, they have sure acted more like Democrats in the last few decades. But the Democrats have really topped the GOP this time. Both parties further fascism by ever overstepping the bounds of the Constitution which, as far as I can tell, cannot be enforced now because we have left the enforcement up to the very folks that are breaking the rules. It is not even possible for someone to bring to court the case that Obama is not a natural-born American which disqualifies him for presidential office. A monument is being erected in the little town in Kenya where he was born. But then we'd get Biden and Pelosi -- yikes!
