Finally, the fundamental flaw, which will ultimately destroy this prohibition as it did the last one, is that criminal sanctions cannot, and should not attempt to, prohibit personal conduct which does no harm to others.

The 16 words of the late great Andrew Melechinski:

"Everyone has the absolute right to do anything that is not a provable threat to others."

Andrew traveled the country to picket law schools. An old saying, "You can't beat city hall," Well Andrew did beat city Hall! Andrew lived in Connecticut. We lost him about 15 years ago.

I'm not sure how to rate this with stars. With out further context, what or why is the "Finally" ? Is the "fundamental flaw" a reference to natural law's ultimate superiority to legal positivism's criminal actions ? Is the, "cannot and should not", a back handed attempt to illustrate the illegitimacy of victimless crimes ? Does the judge's binding and hypocritical decisions on fundamentally flawed legal positivism indict him as a criminal (making all previous decisions void) ? At law, all victimless crimes are a criminal indictment against the legislators, judges, enforcement agents and all other willfully participating personnel thereof (individually and in concert).

The "fundamental flaw" with the War on Drugs is that it causes massive amounts of harm to this nation and doesn't solve anything. Check out LEAP.cc to get more information on this evil monstrosity.

End the Drug War. Legalize pot, coke, heroin. It will save more lives than will be lost through drug abuse. Do you want a police state? Stop punishing others for what they 'might' do. Consenting adults cannot commit crimes against themselves -- if they want to charge themselves with a crime, then they can commit themselves to a mental hospital for treatment. Otherwise, leave law-abiding people ALONE.
