"We welcome almost any break
in the monotony of things,
a man has only to murder
a series of wives in a new way
to become known
to millions of people
who have never heard of Homer."

Seems like that's why the ISIS beheadings have so much effect -- if they merely bombed an entire village, it would hardly be news-worthy. The best defense against these types is to NOT give them the press and 'distribution' -- it only helps them. Thus it does appear that the powers-that-be want an escalation of war. The US's only real export is WAR -- without that, the nation is done. I am not for war, mind you, but it is inevitable because our dollars are not backed by anything except our military might in the world.
