"Notice how some people even try to put socialists on the 'left' and fascists on the 'right' ... and then trap you into accepting the bizarre and evil notion that freedom is somehow a 'compromise' between, or a combination of, two allegedly 'opposite' collectivist extremes. This, of course, is absurd on its face, and actually leaves limited-government advocacy and the essence of freedom totally off the chart out of the picture."

And that is why I'm a Libertarian, I accept neither socialism nor fascism. Both are entirely destructive to the natural spirit of man.

Actually, socialism is a catch all religion or system of social organization that recognizes ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. More accurately stated would be; communism, progesivism and the rest of the socialist systems that hold all ownership, control and administrations in the name of the State are on the left. Fascism being proclaimed, 'the right' is a socialist system that holds all ownership, control and administrations in a combination of State and Corporation (all corporations being entities of the State - one reason why trusts with marketable units of beneficial interest (especially public) are not allowed by a socialist state). Other than that, the statement is exactly right on. I also choose not to be of that socialist paradigm.

The left/right paradigm is to keep us fighting with each other. It is really Statism vs Individualism. The individual still fights against the claims of the State/Crown/Priest, I suppose it will always be so. C'est la vie! I will not let my labors and property be used to rivet the chains of my fellows. The noble sovereign lives, eh, Mike?! ;-)
