So instituting Social Security in the 30's doesn't give the fedgov the power to sieze and redistribute wealth today? Shocking.

I dunno. Does the effect of an easement come into play here? If the government has the right to make us pay for Social Security Insurance why would it not have the right to make us pay for Health Insurance. Since we have the right to demand the services of hospitals and doctors even if uninsured it is only fair that hospitals and doctors via the government demand that we pay insurance premiums.

Look Waffledumb, I'll speak real slow so even you can understand iit. The government does NOT have the "rights" you mentioned, they do it by FORCE. If this baffles you, find a smart 4th grader to explain it and then throw away that bottle of stupid pills that you take every morning.

In the United States of America, there is a set of principles on which the Republic was founded. It's called the Constitution. It outlines the responsibilities and duties of the various levels of Government. Those principles have been hijacked over a period of time by a series of administrations bent on granting themselves ever more power over the populace in order to enrich themselves at our expense. No amount of propoganda is going to change that fact. Socialism is not our founding principle...it is a cancer that must be eradicated by every means necessary if we are to survive as "Americans".

If a thief stuck a gun in your face and demanded money, would you say he has a "right" to your money?

Here in lies the demise of the common man. It remains in the hands of the states to challenge the unjust usurpation. Draw the line ! With in thyself and with your neighbors. Take a stand !

Great lawful condemnation of the current statist theocracy infesting this land with its de facto (as is averse to de jure) activities. Waffler, on its face, you are absolutely correct. Both the government's SS (as an insurance, and/or legally otherwise) and health insurance are immoral, unconstitutional, and unlawful. One flaw in your example is SS's original act, it was just another tax on the labors of the once sovereign; with the insurance aspect being just enough propaganda to hook sufficient people to make in acceptable
