"There is no proletarian, not even a Communist movement, that has not operated in the interests of money, and for the time being permitted by money - and that without the idealists among its leaders having the slightest suspicion of the fact."

How many are so principled as to not be interested, primarily, in money?

Lamentably, it is not love but money that makes this world, in its fallenness, go round.

The 2nd plank of the Communist manifesto, doctrines on inheritance and personal ownership are an extremely terse start and describing the accuracy of the statement.

If money were the primary objective, the preaching of Liberty and Freedom would be lost. Yet, it is God who supplies the need of the individual called according to his purpose in grace. Yes money finds the source of the influencing truth, seeking to sway or stay.
Best to keep affections in check, power belongs to God. One is always, only a heartbeat away from eternity. Regardless of the millions offered. Semper FI

It is POWER that is sought -- money is but a medium. Communist states are organized as military dictatorships in which all are treated as enlisted in the army. If they want power over themselves, they have to work their way up the political ranks. Communism and fascism are not that far apart -- fascism tends to last longer economically than communism.

But control of the money printing press is central to all totalitarian countries -- and they have to agree with each other on the scam to accept each others' currencies. Print money, print power -- at least to the first recipients of the currency. Who has control of the money press? That is the ruler of the nation.
