"It is time for our school systems to stop accepting the gospel of that false religion and start doing their due diligence. Our children should be taught about the demonstrable solar cycles; and the whole human-caused Global Warming theory, along with the Hockey Stick Hoax, should be taught only as another example, after Piltdown Man and pre-Copernican theories of planetary movement, of how science can be corrupted when ideology gets ahead of the data."

"The glory of science is to progress as new facts are discovered to be true, but such progress means that factual truth of that kind is actually a rather provisional human construct dependent upon a particular historical construct and always open to correction.
As new facts are discovered and fresh, scientific paradigms develop which is why the wise person doesn't think in the category of factual truth." Michael Ward, a fellow of Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford, and professor of apologetics at Houston Baptist University speaking on CS Lewis at Hillsdale College in 2015

It is time for Orson Scott Card to stop accepting secondhand gospel and start doing HIS due diligence! Science always has beenand forever will belead by ideology. Every experiment in basic research is designed to test a hypothesis. Without ideology there can be no hypothesis! Science is always trying to secure the data that proves the ideology.

Factual knowledge is based upon pre-existing laws of nature. The lack of "knowing" the "rule", that supplies your need, is where doubt and ignorance reside. Some Scientist do not doubt, they find, the exception to the "rule". Orson Scott Card, recommended reading in the USMC. Steeped in biblical reference, and a word to the Wise.

Sad. But why would I care? According to them, my "ideology" doesn't care that much if the next generation of this civilization goes belly up. Keeping up "bussiness as usual" is the fastest way for that.

If schools would do any good... I think today, people should actively question and research every claim to one's self. Determine for yourself your response and be prepared to learn what you did not know. Not all 'schools' are the same, nor should they be. But schools of science and research can get politicized if their potential discoveries challenge the power of the schools' benefactors. The fields of medicine and energy have become highly regulated to protect the profits of huge conglomerates, so much so, that alternatives to pharmaceuticals and petroleum are buried deep.

I do not trust any 'educational' program that is simply a 'broadcast' of what to believe. I go to school to get my questions answered, to get trained in 'reality', not to be force-fed politically correct ideology at the expense of truth. BS does not provide any nutrient value -- and unless you have developed a taste for it, it ain't worth crap.
