Give me Liberty or give me Death. ~ Patrick Henry. Personally I don't think it's my place to die for liberty...but that of the man who is trying to take it from me.

A little added wisdom would be in paraphrase and I can't remember who said it but it is oh so true.------The trick is not to die for your cause but to make the other guy die for his cause.

What is life without liberty-better dead than red.

Anon, I think it was Patton that said, "The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his." ... Tullis was speaking the truth in 100 BC as he would be today although I like both Patton's and J Carlton's somewhat better - I'd rather be around after the fight to enjoy the fruits.

It's much better not to lose your freedom in the first place. Keeping your freedom requires your vigilance. Regaining your freedom requires someone's blood.

I do not want to lose my life for your liberty but it may happen because I am on the front line speaking my mind publically every day. I do it for my kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. I am old and no longer have responsiblilies so perhaps I can afford to do what I do. Wish there were more people willing as we are witnessing a treasonous take over of our beloved country...and I wonder, has anyone noticed? Do the citizens of this country understand the price of freedom? Is the price not worth liberty? I think it is and I pray I don't stand alone. I am ashamed of those in office; those who scoff at the Constitution, liberty, and the law. They are not leaders, they are henchmen; corrupt thieves, and if they would steal, how long before life has no value? A little rant....but women must vent.

Abigail, I for one would be honored to stand with you and all the noble Patric Henries in extolling liberty, freedom, inalienable rights, law, justice, the Constitution and witnessing against the treason infesting this land.
