Wouldn't it be nice if true wisdom could be injected at the doctor's office or fully received by taking a vitamin by mouth? I think it's a shame that the only really vocal people in politics seem to be free of real wisdom. We need to listen to the wisdom of the aged people in our society. We need to look into their past, when things actually worked in America... when families stayed together through thick and thin, abortions were unknown, divorce was rare, crime was even rarer and so forth. For many wisdom comes to late, for others never discovered, and for most discovered but never experienced. Families are your loved ones and friends not just 2 plus 2.

To assume oneself to be wise is foolish.

Wisdom is a gift. No matter how much you journey or discover if you lake wisdom you will not profit from the experience. You will never find it. It is all around us every day and most cannot see it. Most are deceived by their belief that what they think can pass for wisdom.

I am an "aged person" and I don't want to go back in time and live through the 40's and 50's again. Old people like me tend to think that the "Good Old Days" were better than now. People tend to remember the good times they had and to forget the hard times. With all the problems facing this country, I would not want to go back.

Ahh yes, to have the wisdom ascribed to King Solomon. I think the here referenced wisdom is meant to educe or relate to an existence more than a mere knowledge built upon accumulated philosophic or scientific learning, an insight, quality or ability to discern inner eccentricities, relationships and accuracies specifically / generally, and a good sense judgement that does not readily accept worldly attitudes, beliefs, or courses of action. With 'warren', I think 'Wisdom' is a gift. After a journey that no one can take us on or spare us from, wisdom is enjoyed by but a few, If wisdom came by way of life's journey only, why would so many vehemently support an anti-family / anti-law system that includes a ponzi scheme that is to finance everyone's retirement for ever ? The referenced 'wisdom' and, the 'how' to attain it are often at odds, one with the other. The journey (as enlightening as it may be) may only be but one of the attaining sources.
