    I would change 'private citizen' to individual King, Caesar, and Sovereign. The original Constitutional Republic had no inherent rights, but duties only. Each and every - any and all rights, authority, and power were extended by, from and through individual Sovereigns 'We The People'.

    A great quote, and one I agree with whole heartedly. I think that this should be the number one lesson taught to students in civics class, and if every citizen understood that they play the most important role in our government (that is choosing who will represent us locally and federally) we would have a far better nation.
