The statist theocracy that now infests this land is a profoundly sick society, except for its realization, unfathomable by the founders who thought they had structured a guarantee against such.

.Great! But it is a measure of the health of a society that it can tolerate its' profoundly sick and maladusted members. The diversity of opinion in America is a sign of our greatness.

Agreed Mike, The Statist Theocracy that infests the USA is easily compared to a creeping cancer. The host will appear healthy for a while but death occurs very rapidly once the disease firmly takes hold. We are nearly there...
     -- J Carlton, Calgary
Mike and J Carlton have summed it up well.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I hope everyone's day is fantastic. I have a deep gratitude for the ups and downs of my life, for they have brought me to where I am today. I also have a great appreciation for the knowledge of what freedom and liberty are. Me and mine are planning a bountiful feast. I also hope all are prepared for what is inevitably coming, as J Carlton so aptly put it, the rapidly growing cancer is about to firmly take hold and consume.

My greatest fear is that our society has become so ill that there is no cure.

Mike your poetry is great but what do you actually me by the phrases that you use, such as "satist theocracy", "creeping cancer" etc. Hitler also used such sweeping unclear terms in describing ethinc cleansing forever changing his definitions to go after who ever he wanted to. What actually do your terms mean. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. PS: Are your phrases code words for some secret agenda that only you, Carlton, and Jim K are aware of because they seem to get your drift without ever really explaining yourself.
     -- Waffler, Smith
    Maybe the greatest quote ever.
     -- Romano, Bangkok
Waffler, maybe I can help explain. Statist Theocracy is a general term that describes a government's efforts to subjugate a population through a system of controlling laws and monetary manipulations. i.e.: The Federal Reserve is a privately owned bank that answers to no one. In fact it controls the government and the economy. We live at its whim. As for laws of control...I do not include laws of justice and decency here. What I'm referring to are laws that are so numerous and ridiculous that not even the judges know them all. And that in fact make us all guilty of something at all times. In this way we are always subject to arrest. Add to that things like the Patriot Act under which no crime of any sort even needs to be committed in order for your government to detain you indefinately and in secret. Starting to get the picture? We are living in a "Soviet" style society already. It simply hasn't announced itself as such yet, but its coming. That's why they are doing their level best to disarm us.
     -- J Carlton, Calgary
Jim where did you get this definition of "statist theocracy" I never heard anyone but Mike use it. Do you and he communicate outside of this site and share these things. I have never heard the prhase outside of this site. Interesting very interesting indeed. The Federal Reserve is no different than central banking that is practiced all over the world. I know of no one who has been disarmed. On the contrary concealed and open carry laws are proliferating, even to the chagrine of many people who like our ancestors in the old west would just as soon see less guns being flashed around than more. It would appear that governent and law is on the side of guns rather than opposed as you say.
     -- Waffler, Smith
Waffler, your hero Obama is a statist. Which is the same as fascist which is a form of socialism to which you have obviously adjusted well it would seem.
     -- warren, olathe
Our nation is very sick to say the least but as long as freedom burns in the hearts of men, the cure is always there for us to rely on.
