"During almost fifteen centuries the legal establishment of
Christianity has been upon trial. What has been its fruits?
More or less, in all places, pride and indolence in the clergy;
ignorance and servility in the laity, in both, superstition,
bigotry, and persecution."

Too accurate, too often. It could also be said on any given day that the fruits of Christianity are the most loving, charitable, giving and enlightening of any and all ideologies. I read an article recently on how world wide Christianity inspired individuals are rendering more relief, assistance, and aid than any other entity on the planet.

    The adherents of Christianity have done good things no doubt. However, under the banner of Christianity and religion we have had wars, murders, burning witches at the stake ,and a host of other atrocities too numerous to mention. As to Christian theology, I believe that the word "superstition" is appropriate unless you believe that Adam and Eve were real people and that Noah got all those cotton pickin' animals on his boat.

    If everyone saw the same thing in the Bible, I would surely have no interest in it. What does interest me is the great and successful effort to convince millions that it says things it doesn't.
    I find too many believe preachers and too few believe the Bible. Not one verse hints, implies or suggests that Jesus will come IN OUR FUTURE!
    Why do so many err? Freemasonry is the second most powerful force on earth. Their god is Lucifer. Their religion is based on unfulfilled prophecy and their goal is to impose their religion on the world. To do this, they have to control all divinity schools. To do that required unlimited money. To get that, they created the Federal Reserve 100 years ago. Their success is seen in the millions who deny that Jesus fulfilled all prophecy. A man named Schofield had much to do with this deception. To see what he did to lead millions astray: www.morpix.biz/thehoax Please read daily for 3 days. For more info: preterist1@preterist.org
    Further, Far too many believe Revelations is about the future. "at hand" is found 30 times in the Bible and not once does it mean the the events there are distant in time or in space. To believe those things are future, one must cut out blackout or just ignore Rev. 1:3. To belive Old Testament prophecy is unfulfilled, one must blackout, cut out or just ignore Luke 21:22 or read "these" (close) as those (distant) . Beware the leaven of the Pharidsees, Jesus said and I say AMEN.

    Same as it ever was. Religion is a placeholder for profound truths that may take years for the aspirant to realize.

    Historically it is the way to control the power of the people and those that claim lordship over them. Even Caesar needed the support of the most popular cults of the day. I have studied religions throughout history, and while profound wisdom can be found within many religious 'scriptures' it appears to me to merely hold the truth hostage in a cage of ritual and dogma. There need not be any intermediary to the Divine, and that union is indeed sacred -- the church merely wants to place themselves as the middleman of this relationship and thus exercise control over it, and 'tax' it in many ways. Religious wars are for more power, plain and simple. And the banksters love wars! While the foolish followers kill and die by the millions, the nations are indebted further and further. If this isn't proof of the devil, I don't know what is.
