    Whether in public service, private business, or private association, even among the ranks of civilian boots on the ground, it is perceived as an asset or threat, to another's position of influence. A position to be tread lightly in the face of opposition. " If you are not too large for the place you occupy, you are too small for it." 
    There are a few biblical refs, to such a position of leadership granted. In many ways President Garfield's agenda repeats itself. 
    Calling out corruption is never popular, when so many are on the take.
