"It is proof of a base and low mind for one to wish to think with the masses or majority, merely because the majority is the majority. Truth does not change because it is, or is not, believed by a majority of the people."

Does anyone really have such a wish?

There's safety in numbers Rosenthal. Living in Germany at the outbreak of WWII you prayed to be among the majority. You certainly did not want to be one of the minority.

Hmmm...OK, Joe, but that seems to be a fear-based wish, rather than one of desire. Aren't those who feel this to be pitied? Truth does not change to suit the majority. But the fear-based attempt to fit in, or to appear to fit in, is pathetic.

It takes courage to put one's own beliefs to the test from time to time. It takes courage to think differently than the crowd. And it certainly takes courage to be an individual. The truth is the truth is the truth -- whether we know it or not.

These are words to live by. I think it is not so much the lack of courage which causes people to want to join the herd, it is simple mental laziness. In other words it is "base and low mind[s]", lack of intellect, and lack of mental discipline. People who are blown about by changing public opinions have not taken the time to form their own philosophy or code of moral conduct. Politicians who rely on public opinion polls come to mind.

Well said Archer. To embrace Liberty and Freedom, Stand with the weapons given. Faulty ammunition, words with out knowledge, leave people stumbling and blind. Economic liberty sought after, revels the wolf in sheep's clothing. The worst part is people wish to have both sides of the fence. That is not possible. One cannot serve two masters. So they fall as disgruntled children. Courage is what is needed at all cost. Faith in ones self, that your metal may be tried.

And this man, Bruno, was burned at the stake by the Catholic church. The Catholic church being one of the greatest plunders and perpetuators of democ socialism throughout the world. Qadesh mentality at its very core.

Giordano Bruno was a great astronomer that was burned at the stake by the Catholic Church in Rome 1600.
Galileo Galilei learned from his experience and was also near the same dead from the same church do to his heliocentric theory.
Churches has been the main problem that science have had for its progress creating many suffering for millions for a thousand years

Churches are too broad a topic to make such a statement. In your enclave of churches, are you including socialism, monarchal restrictions of belief for staying in power, theocratic seminaries (government schools), etc.

"for one to wish to think with the masses or majority, merely because the majority is the majority" is so effective that it is used while perpetrating forms of Stockholm Syndrome and other humanity degrading techniques and domains (such as peer pressure induced philosophies / religions - socialism, democracy, progressivism, etc. I have not seen any teachings of individual sovereignty, natural law, liberty or inalienable rights within the wishes of majority think.

The craziest part is that schools are not empowering students, they are indoctrinating them.  Students are not there to learn but to be taught.  Socialism requires uniformity of thought  it doesn't come naturally, it requires years and years of repetition and programming.  But like a domesticated animal, once in the wild (i.e. real world) they become easy prey.  Interestingly, socialists are usually college educated, and college classes are increasingly promoting statist political ideologies in math and science programs.

Whatever happened to the search for truth?
