Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish and when the fool is no longer a fool it makes sense. These Greeks did talk a lot of sense; sadly it's hard to find now days - much of their works are lost for ever Euripides wrote many plays but only a few survived the fools.

The treasure is in the wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:but fools despise wisdom and instruction. I can only go to the source of my forefathers knowledge to say something profitable. But it is my way. I do not take lightly the words put upon these pages. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate the: rebuke a wise man, and he will love the. Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars. So that a man may know wisdom and instruction and preceive the words of understanding. To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment and equity; To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. These words of wisdom are of a loving son who became a king and brought total peace to the middle east for sixty years. His form of government adopted with and in unison with our stand of new administration formed a new government so making peace for ourselves. Being justified to do so in the sight of God. Change sometimes is not easy and a soul without knowledge is not good. Isaiah 58:6,7,8 and 10. concerns behavior to be reaserted in all levels of banking and government. 11 the number of change, do you want to remove the fools that govern, consider the eleventh book of OT,and the governmental change of power. Luke 22:36 should be clear.

Guess Carol thinks all democrats are fools. Is this the right place to do the name calling. Not very productive or cerebral. Think of something more profound. This is sooo old. You are a crowd pleaser. I am a democrat and do not think either words, democrat or socialism are foolish.

Good for you Judith - I'm a progressive Liberal and I get a kick out of the comments on this blog, its really sad but also educating from sociological point of view... But, there you are, we all have our cross to bear. Judith you are correct, Socialism, Liberalism, Conservatism, Libertarianism, even Communism (from its early concepts), they can all be democratic. It's not the nature of the ism but its actions that are either right or wrong that matter. Actions always speak louder than any ism.

"Don't cast your pearls before swine."

Doesn't it depend on how information is presented whether the message is received? Seems to me that most people can learn if the message is presented as Socrates challenged people of different opinions. It is called discussion of which there is very little it seems anymore. It is the impatience of the time. Soundbites, labeling, opinions instead of facts. When you feed a pig pearls, maybe it will become a swan, Wayne, but when you feed it garbage, it is still a pig.

True, but how do you tell what side you are on? It is always the responsibility of the speaker to get his/her words across -- you cannot blame the listener even if they are as dumb as a door nail. Funny how everyone above believes what HE/SHE says is wise and if the other guy doesn't get it, it is because he is a fool.!! ;-) I've got news for you: we are ALL fools! THAT is why we have not given up our rights to others to rule us -- the very basis of Liberty is the acknowledgement of the fallibility of men. The very premise of authoritarian government is the INfallibility of the Council, Crown or Church.
