II suspect she was talking about the different denominations of the Judeo Christian religions. That would make sense. In an Islamic country mixing in other religions makes for a very unhappy situation. Christianity on the other hand adapts fairly will to neighbors of differing religions. So I can agree as far as Europe goes but not when you look elsewhere.
