Sadly, power and control over does humane and gentle virtues until destruction allows for a coming forth of a new life more often true than not. What comes to mind though is - Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (Jesus) So seldom do the likes of a Gandhi reverse the above rule.
